Tips and Tricks
To exit the software: Hover your mouse over upper left session name, it will change to File then select Exit.
To update the tricaster: Exit > Administrator Mode > Update Tricaster. Make sure to check for updates regularly.
Start a new session: Select New session > enter session name > start session > start live production > starts from new. Each new session erases all the settings of the previous session. If you want to use a session with your settings as a template, you can right click on the previous session and select re-name to change the name of the session and keep the session settings.
Program and Preview: Program (red) is what is live right now, Preview (green) is what is coming up next.
Sometimes when you start up the TriCaster the number one monitor switches to the center monitor or the confidence monitor. You need to go to windows, select displays, multiple monitors, select number 1 and check the box to make number one the main monitor. This may happen because we are using 2 Display outs signals, one to the main monitor and one to the HDMI splitter.
GFX1 and GFX2: Are for still photos, jpeg or png
Please note tricaster recently made a software update which changed the appearance of the main menu:
