Studio Components

Green Screen: There are two: a large studio screen that can be swapped out with a blue fabric if needed. And a smaller portable screen for the pad caster.

Stools (virco): Two adjustable stools are provided for the talent to use.

Chairs (Virco): Three chairs for editing at the desk.

Desk (Virco): One desk for the tech, there is a dell tower under the desk.

Cabinet (Virco): One to hold extra supplies, it comes with a key to lock it.

Lights (Dracast): Two lights, the knob on the back adjusts the brightness.  There are several plastic filters that can be swapped out to change the color.

Shotgun Mic: The main microphone for recording.  The actual microphone piece is at the very end of the shotgun mic.  The mic arm should be angled down with the mic piece on the end pointed up and directed towards the talent. The microphone is connected directly to the audio board and the on/off switch is the phantom button.

Camera (Cannon): The microphone needs to be turned off because the sound is coming from the shotgun mic.  If the camera microphone is on, you will get a lot of sound feedback.  It needs to be turned off on the camera itself and in the tricaster software (audio > local > line in).  You also need to adjust the Processing to voice isolation to remove the background noise.

Tricaster (Vizrt): It has 8 inputs: 4 HDMI ports and 4 wireless options, 1 is being used for the camera.  The 4 HDMI ports can be swapped to be wireless.  It contains a 1TB hard drive for storage.

Softwares

Tricaster: Software used to record video and sound.

Telescroll: The teleprompter software, where students can control the speed and direction of the text. The largest font size is 130.  **If the script wording is upside down, there is a flip button on the monitor.

Adobe Photoshop: Software used for editing content and graphics.

Sessions Folder: Connects the tricaster computer to the Smartlab computer.

Accessories

Fiberglass snake cord container (black): It contains 3 HDMI cables and a power cable.  The power cable has 3 plugs in it. The rule - If the cable is held with a velcro cord, you can undo/move it, if it’s wired tied, leave it alone.

Wireless microphone: The studio comes with 2, they are rechargeable and color coded.
