Fix Error: "Unable to communicate to Impero Services"
Impero Applcation Unable to Launch
The first thing to check is the version of Impero Education. If the teacher recently updated Windows, Impero may not work with the newer version of Windows.
After finding out why the Impero Client on the Teacher computer stopped working, we will need to update them to the latest version of Impero (At the time of this article 8.6.25).
You will need to call Impero Support at 844-346-7376 with the activation code (which can be found on the first page when you open Impero Server on the Server in the classroom or on the Teacher's computer). After having the Activation Code ready for them, call them and have them push out the latest Impero update to the Impero Server application.
Check and see if the student computers show up on the Impero Server application under the “Connections” tab. If they do show up, you can select them all and click Latest update button on the Connections tab.
If they do not show up in the Connections tab as “Active” status, After a few minutes the ImperoClient8625.msi should be in the “C:\Program Files (x86)\Impero Solutions Ltd\Impero Server\Updates” folder and copy it to the Transfer drive so we can update all of the student computers. Alternatively, the version you are upgrading to can be found Upgrade Education Pro v8.6.25 – Customer Portal (imperosoftware.com) this link should also show the latest Impero version on the left list box to download and install
Run the ImperoClientSetup8625.msi from the Transfer drive on the Teacher computer. Wait a few minutes after the install.
Simply run the ImperoClient8625.msi from the Transfer drive on each of the students computers and verify they now show up in the Teacher Impero console.
If still it does not work, install the latest .NET Framework from Microsoft website: Download .NET (Linux, macOS, and Windows) (microsoft.com)
If that still does not work, there may be a network issue or Windows upgrade required to run Impero properly.
