Unable to Communicate with the HP Printer
How to resolve the issue where the HP printer cannot communicate with a Mac computer.
If you are seeing the error below, the printer may not be connecting to the Mac because of a network connectivity issue or a driver issue.

First, make sure that the printer is connecting to the network by printing the network configuration page from the front panel of the HP printer.
Step 1 - Swipe down on the printer touchscreen dashboard and select the settings icon.
Step 2 - Scroll down the menu and select Reports > Network Configuration Page. There should be an option to print the page.
Step 3 - On the page that prints, check for the IPv4 Status to confirm that it is connected and has an IP Address.
Step 4 - Once you have confirmed the printer is connected to the network, check that the computer is also connected by simply opening any web browser and search for a website to see if it loads. If a site loads, please move onto the next steps.
Follow the steps below to reset the printing system and then apply any printer driver updates.
Step 1 - Click the Apple icon on your Mac and tap System Preferences.
Step 2 - Open Printers & Scanners.
Step 3 - Press the Control key on your keyboard and click on the empty area on the new window.
Step 4 - Choose Reset printing system, click Reset. If prompted, type your admin password and click OK.
Step 5 - Once the reset is complete, let's find any printer driver updates by launching the App Store and select "Updates."
Step 6 - Look for any printer updates and apply them. Once updates are complete, try adding the printer again.
