Rolling Back Windows Updates
In certain situations, returning to a previous version of Windows can be beneficial. To do this, follow the steps below.
Create a recovery drive using a working computer:
Follow the instructions at this link to create a bootable USB drive:
Create installation media for Windows
Use the recovery drive to roll back updates on the computer:
Step 1 - With the computer turned off, click the power button to start it up. As soon as you do this, begin rapidly pressing F12 on the keyboard (If it is a wireless keyboard, you may have to also hold the “FN” key while pressing F12). After the Dell screen shows up, you should be redirected to the boot options menu. If this does not work with a wireless keyboard, you may have to locate a wired keyboard and use it instead.
Step 2 - Select the USB drive from the list and hit enter. This will take you to the Windows Recovery Environment.
Step 3 - Select “Troubleshoot”

Step 4 - Select “Advanced Options”

Step 5 - Select “Uninstall Updates”

Step 6 - Select “Uninstall latest quality update.” Then, repeat this process and “Uninstall latest feature update.”

After this, Windows Updates have been rolled back to the previous version.
