Fixing Sound/Headphone Issues
If sound is not working on lab PCs, it may be because Waves Maxx Audio is not installed. This is most common when headphones are connected via auxiliary ports. Follow the steps below to fix this issue.
Install Waves software:
Step 1 - Thaw the computer in Deep Freeze before starting.
Step 2 - Once the computer is thawed, install the Waves software on it by visiting this site and clicking Download: apps.microsoft.com/detail/9pjppgg8tgvg?rtc=1&hl=en-us&gl=US
Step 3 - After the software is installed, restart the computer once before testing.
Step 4 - Plug in your headphones and Waves will provide a pop-up prompt asking what kind of device you connected. Select “Headphones,” then test if the audio is now working properly.
Step 5 - Once you are done, freeze the computer in Deep Freeze.
